PHLEBOTOMY SPECIALIZATION CLASSES
The objective of this program is to provide specialized training in phlebotomy for those individuals who have already obtained the training necessary to work as Medical Office Assistants and wish to add an additional skill set to their repertoire. Earning the phlebotomy certificate in addition to their prior medical office training may qualify students for more varied positions in medical offices, clinics, blood banks, and laboratories.

Admission into College
Admissions into The College of Office Technology are ongoing throughout the year for both day and evening classes. Applicants must have attained a high school diploma or GED certificate, be at least 17 years of age and not currently enrolled in a secondary school. Applicants who do not have a high school diploma but show Ability To Benefit by passing both the admissions interview and the Ability to Benefit examination may study up to three quarters in the Microcomputer Business Systems program. |
Computer and Medical Assisting Education
Interactive and hands on computer educational training takes place during day and evening sessions year round. Both large and small groups meet hourly in the many classrooms and hi-tech computer labs of the three floors of the college. The College of Office Technology wants only those who are ready to fully participate in the adult “College” experience. |

Job Placement
Job Placement is a priority at The College of Office Technology. The College dedicates it’s resources to assisting all graduates to gain meaningful and rewarding employment. Graduates may return for continuing assistance with career development for up to one year after completion of training. Career counseling, skills enhancement sessions, resume updates and job referrals are available during Job-Club and by appointment. |

The College of Office Technology Financial aid counselors will help you understand and apply for Financial Aid. Grants and Financial Aid are automatically available for those students who qualify.
